2017 marks the 35th anniversary of the seminal paper on rough sets by Zdzisław Pawlak and by this the beginning of the rise of the paradigm of rough sets as a method for describing uncertainty. This anniversary prompts us to organize the IJCRS 2017 in Poland and in particular in the region of Warmia and Masuria, the region of lakes and rivers, which Zdzisław Pawlak frequented as fan of water sports.
We invite especially cordially all authors whose work touches the paradigm of rough sets be it the mainstream or hybrid methods in which rough sets meet other paradigms like fuzzy sets, cognitive methods, etc., authors applying rough set ideas to problems in diverse areas of artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, spatial reasoning, data mining and knowledge technology, intelligent agents, intelligent robotics etc.
We also invite researchers in search of new tools and those who would like to discuss their problems with members of the rough set community. We welcome them, please feel free to submit results of Your research or simply do come to the conference to meet people.
Our Authors are invited cordially to submit a research paper at most 10 pages long devoted to one or more of the conference topics, formatted in style of LNCS/LNAI of Springer: www.springer.de/lncs.
